Description¡G
Its weld
metal is 13%Mn steel and becomes austenitic by water
cooling during welding. Accordingly it has excellent
toughness and high work-hardening property, it is
suitable for surfacing of the parts subjected to heavy
impact abrasion. Machining of the weld metal is
difficult due to its high work-hardening property.
Becase of 4% Nickel content in deposit, so have an
excellent crack resistibility.
Application :
Hard
surfacing of various crusher jaws, high manganese steel
rails and high manganese cast steels.
Instructions
for welding :
-
Avoid
the continuous welding and it is recommended to
water cooling during welding.
-
It is
necessary to under lay with austenitic stainless
steel in such case when the base metal is not 13%
manganese steel.
-
When
the base metal of 13% manganese steel is hardened,
remove it before welding.
-
Dry
the electrodes at 150 ~ 200¢J for 30~60 minutes
before use.
